Be very very Quiet, We're huntin Wabbits
« on: December 25, 2010, 09:21:01 AM »
At the end of March I lost my old hunting buddy,Bingo. He was a tri-colored beagle with a hot nose and a big mouth. He was medium/slow speed and a deliberate hunter who could turn cold track hot  and seldom missed a check or a meal for that matter.
Yesterday my wife gave me a suprise Christmas gift. Yep! a beagle puppy ;D Although he is tri-colored, he is mostly black and any white on him is so heavily ticked that it looks gray. The mom and dad are thi-color tick too though not as dark as my dog. He almost looks like a Blue Tick coon hound.
So far his house training is going amazingly well for a 10 week old pup and he has adapted well too.
I have a fuzzy mut named Angel, Bingo was my old buddy. Charlet is our cat and I had to find a new home for a beagle named Daisy that wouldn't hunt for me. That leads me to the new dogs name. His name is Elmer. If I ever get another beagle, I'll name him Fudd. :D
Since Bingo passed, there has been a hole in my heart. Although Bingo will always be in my heart, today I feel a little better.

:) Howdy! Hope you and Elmer find plenty of rabbits during your hunts. Get him trained and you will always have a hunting companion!  Always, Gene

Happy Trails!
