Lot's of hit's on this thread, but so few replies...........lol!
Someone has to have an opinion! Some folks are just skeerd to say the word secession.
We better get use to it! I think we'll be hearing it more often as time goes on.

Ain't it funny how words and their meanings have changed from generation to generation.  We use to say some was missing, and everyone knew what we were talking about.......Now, most say GONE MISSING. Seems like a waste of ink using two words, when one would have sufficed. My son asked me today, if I had noticed the rainbow bumper stickers on some cars. Some have the letters "OUT" on them as well as other things. Suppose to mean "out of the closet" Heck! my wife lets me out once in a while, so I should get me one of those stickers.........You think?  ::)

It is interesting ... for those that didn't click on the link, the historical record shows that our Declaration of Independence was collaborative, as in all the independent colonies SECEDED from the empire simultaneously and formed individual states. We then United in the common cause of defending the independence. But the official act was one of SECESSION from the empire. If you remember the language from the movie, The Patriot - "Massachusetts and Virginia may be at war with the crown, but South Carolina is not." They had a real sense of individuality among the states. I think we'll see more of that on down the road as my beloved Arizona continues to be maligned and villified for empowering state officers to enforce federal law ... as they ought.

Lets just hope that more and more states join Az. in standing up to this joke of a Government we have in DC.
It's a damn shame when a state has to do the very job, the federal Gov. was formed to do in the first place......To protect the state's sovereignty from outsiders. "CHEERS FOR ARIZONA"

Th Brits called it revolution; American writings of the time referred to it as a war for independence. Of course we were all indoctrinated to use the empires version.

I got an e-mail recently stating that Rhode Island has been doing for some time what Arizona plans to do and there was/is no uproar over that. Of course, how many Mexicans sneak over the border to RI??
