I just traded into a hardly used .223 Surivor. Just happened to have a little Tasco Bantam and rings that, while nothing special, fit the rifle and doesn't require the hammer extension. The barrel looks thinner than the survivors on the web sight. I'm not sure if it's just the picture or if this is a thinner barrel rifle that happens to be wearing a Survivor stock. Either way, it's a lighter gun than the .308 Survivor I used to have and I like that.
Can't wait to get some range time and post pics.
Looking at the gun, I have to send the barrel in to get some iron. I've never understood why they market a 'survival rifle' without any iron.
