700's tend to scrape the right side of the round as it is extracted. Not an issue, just annoying.

..............As the other post states the spring loaded ejector will cause the round to be pressed aganist the action on extraction....to avoid this when checking for seating depth just raise the bolt and start to withdraw the shell....then use your other hand and a finger to reach in the ejection port of the action and press the case to the middle of the chamber and guide the round straight as you finish opening the bolt.....then when the end of the bullet clears the front of the action opening you can let the round be forced into your hand by the pressure of the spring ejector........I use the 55VMax for loading in my 700vssf and it does well.......there have been some problems with the leade being too long to touch the rifling in SOME barrels/chamberings in the late 700's but mine doesn't have that problem and with H335 and rem 7 1/2 primers and the molly VMax it shoots .3 at 100yds for 5 shots from bags...and better with Berger 52molly BR bullets......HTH..good luck and good shooting-loading!!
