Rock Island 1911 9mm

Does anyone know anything abt the Rock Island 1911 9mm?   I am mainly wondering abt realiabilty and a smooth trigger.   Thx  KF4OCV

Reliability and a good trigger can be obtained. If it is good quality steel and a good price--let a Smith do the rest--if you don't have the skills.

I been eyeing the RIA in 9mm its under $400.  Any roughness can be solved...

Right now all my 9mm pistols are made by CZ which are the tops in quality so far they been flawless for there style of pistol.

My daughter shoots a CZ .22rifle for competition.  They are great.

my rock island G.I. came with the best trigger i've ever had on an out of the box pistol, breaks like glass.

The Rock Island 1911s are supposed to be reliable and a decent deal for the $.  The 9mm is a good choice as it will handle any 9mm ammo out there and can be converted to a 38 Super or 9x23 Winchester with just a barrel and probably a recoil spring change; for that matter you can also convert to 30 Luger.  Lots of options. imo
