So after about eight years with my old, loud, strong, bear buckmaster btr 70# I decided it was time for an upgrade.

I've had that bow for about 8 years, and didnt like it very much.  Just put up with how much sound it made becasue it still whacked what I shot it at.  Well after some inconsistancy issues and some component switching, I decided to just go brand new.

Research (AKA going to sportsmans warehouse and shooting some bows) and reviews lead me to invenst in a bear mauler.  A thing of beauty.  Now I had thought of going with brand new all kinds of stuff, but there were a couple things I wanted off my old bow.

The first was my balancer and wrist wrap.  They arent special.  They are cheap, and so completely unneccesary on my very quiet new bow i didnt need a special vibration dampening balancer.

The one thing I needed to keep was my limb driver.  If you dont know about a limb driver rest, check it out.  They are sweet.  A little tricky to tune at times, but shoot sweet.

Now the main reason I came to write this was because of a new sight.  The trophy ridge micro hitman 5 pin.  I have never seen a sight of this quality for $90. (cabelas)  Every thing on it is metal. cept for the fiber optics of course.  Solid whole frame, spring loaded micrometer adjustment, a small light house in the body so it only illuminates the pins.  A beautiful piece of equipment, at half the price of compareable sights.

I just got her tuned up today, shooting is gonna come a bit later.

The one purchase I'm a little unsure about was a bearclaw quiver.  It has a mount that screws onto the sight bracket, and a quick detach system.  I love how it works, only problem is it vibrates a little bit.  I snugged down the bracket nice and tight and it isnt horrible, but still gonna see if I can take down on it a little bit.  Also it seems a little loose on my full metal jackets... they are a little thin... so we will see if this thing makes it very far....

Bow sight: - If you are in the market, buy one.
