Final UPDATE: Just Aggravating........New #1

Hi All,

In my previous posts I described a problem with my new #1 in 35 whalen.  Cluck, click, click, bang on occasion.  I sent it back to ruger a few months ago for repair and they were working on it.  After a number of very pleasent telephone calls and offres of any new ruger rifle in any caliber of my choice, I've decided to accept a full refund of the purchase price ($1,003 plus $22 shipping).  I really can't get too excited about the current caliber offerings, so opted for the money and will go hunting!!!!

However ... as I told the customer service rep...I'm always in the market for a #1 when it strikes my fancy!  I currently have others so...I'll look for a deal.

sounds like a good news bad news saga.  Go news you got the moeny back from the purchase, bad news you did not get the rifle repaired or replaced.  I aways wonder why the manufacturers do the refund vs. locating on in the  dealer network for you?

Thanks dougk...I don't know...just as well....bought it during a "fit of enchantment" with the cartridge.  I'm always looking for #1s and this one had the added options of being a Lite Sporter and a 35whalen.  I'm OK with the deal...the 1k will go to enhancing my hunting trip in a few weeks and I've reacquainted myself with my Rem 750 Woodsmaster in 35whalen (yet another purchase on a whim).
