Making a Jarvi bench

Check out this video.  It is very cool.  This guy makes a bench out of a single piece of wood.  It's awesome! :o

Very cool. I've got to try something now with the steam bending.

I used to work at a place  with a fellow member (cange) that heated corian in a old pizza oven. I made a lot of cool stuff with bent corian around it. Usually highly polished with a chiselled stone edge.

As labor intensive as making that bench is, the real labor and skill is in building all the jigs, forms and other stuff you need to build the bench.  He handles that band saw like it was a jig saw.  I wonder how many benches break during the bending process?  How many times does he cut into a log to find that it has a flaw the negates its use as a bench?
