I have a NMBH in 45LC and have some stout loads I use. 1100 FPS, and kicks like a mule. Kill an elephant close up but I can't hit the broadside of deer at more than 30y. I also have Buffalo Classic carbine to match. 1350 FPS same loads. I shot holes in my buddy's chrony using irons. I recently had the opportunity to purchase a never fired 657 at less than 300 bucks. I took it. What an amazing hand gun. I can't see irons anymore and put a Millet Red Dot on. 50 cent piece at 50y. Loved it. I like the 45LC, took that red dot and put it on the carbine, works like new money. MOA of deer at 75y and the NMBH for surprises. I always carry the Blackhawk for lions, tigers and bears. Put a 2X pistol scope on that 41 mag. Beautiful. 3" at 100y. I may never use my 270 again. Lots of options, 1 day 45LC, 1 day 41 Mag, 1 day hand made 45/70 muzzleloader, desperation 270. It's the hunt right?
