Diamond Stud

Have not bought a new bow in over 15 years. Considering a Bowtech / Daimond Stud. What is your take on them?

Very smooth,Not the fastest bow out there.The only sound you hear is the arrow hitting the target!

I like BowTechs and the BowTech Diamond line up, you just can't go wrong with a BowTech

These are nice, and if I were buying a modern compound again it would only be from the BowTech or Diamond line up.  But, I no longer shoot modern bows and even gave my Mathews Drenalin to my son.

I thought I would no longer use a modern compound bow, I'm not a purist in any sense of the word.  I would prefer to take my recurve hunting, but its nice to have a modern compound for those ranges that are out there.  I have used the Mathews Drenalin again since making this original post, and well bowhunting is bowhunting no matter what bow you have in your hands to get the job done.

You gave away a Mathews, you are ordered to appear before the high court and let the great GBO decide your fate. My boys all know that one day they will get my DXT, but it won't be before I am getting my mail via groundhog.

The Stud is one of the smoothest bows out there, along with the Black Ice, also by Diamond.

I have two Diamond's , a Rapture and a Marquis.  Love them both.  I wouldn't hesitate on laying down cash on one.

I am looking for a new bow and I shot a diamond 2 days ago very smooth and extremely quite its excellent bow. I think it will also be somewhat forgiving bow.

I bought a Diamond Black Ice.  It is dead on, smooth draw, and has a great anchor point.  There is a reason the Black Ice continues to be around, it is an excellent design packed full of features that are on much more expensive bows.  It also has a better brace height than most new bows, which makes it a little more forgiving.

Because of a situation that occured between myself and our local Mathews dealer, I will never step foot back in his shop. He does not offer a lay away program as another pro shop in town that does, and I took a friend into that shop in which he put a Bowtech on lay away because that was the only way he could buy a bow, and shoot it while it was on lay away.  So, the other shop found out about it, and like a child he had a fit of rage.

At any rate, me and Mathews are done.  Its not that they are bad bows, because they are not.  I'm using the Mathews Drenalin for this hunting season, but this year I will be putting a Bowtech on layaway at the other shop.
