Was about to comment on the fluting until I read the whole thread.  Stock looks 22nd century, but I kind of like it also.  If they would just grow a real trigger guard on that thing and maybe figure out how to put a legitimate hammer on it!

Maybe they would call the UC modified rifle, the Omega Plus as it would have to be beefier in the action to accomodate what I would change.  And where could I put some set-screws?

For the life of me, UC, I have no idea why you just didn't cut off your trigger guard in the first place! It doesn't do much, anyway.

The lines are much smoother than is shown in the above pic.  Randy took the bigger one down to save storage space.

I moved that derned scope forward also.   :-)

Great! I just hope it's not an Omega version of the Master Hunter. If it's in the normal Omega price range I may nix the Savage idea and buy one of these instead. It will cost too much to put a nice thumbhole on the Savage.

Full boat retail is $634, so I would guess (just a guess) that street would be in the $520 area.
