Does any one know what this is. All I know is it's made in Germany, and it looks to be a 22.

Wish I still had all my books. It does look like it could be a Sauer mark before the kids joined in. It would be nice to see the proof marks and better see the letters that are over Germany in the pic. The rifle does look small and may fire CB caps as a parlor rifle so you can shoot indoors on a rainy day. I would look at Sauer or Simpson as possiable makers

Barring better/clearer pix, IMHO the action looks to be a Warnant - a variation on the Flobert action.

I wouldn't trust it to hold against the pressures generated by modern RF ammo of any kind.
