Clearing drills for semi-autos

For years I carried a wheelgun as a CCW weapon , well about a year ago I switched to a compact 45 and needed some practice on what to do if it did not cycle or fire as it should .

What I came up with was to have someone else load a few mags for me at the range , while they were loading , I would have them put a fired case in the mag at random locations so I did not know when it would fail .

This worked very well as I never knew just what type of problem it would have , or when it would have a problem , sometimes it would fail to feed , some of the rounds would feed but not fire . all in all this has turned into a great practice drill , try it sometime - It Works .

I learned to do this in the military many years ago, We used it not only to prepare for clearing problems but to detect flinch, heeling, etc.  and improve our accuracy..........it  ;)works!
