T/C Venture
« on: August 14, 2010, 11:16:18 AM »
Who has a T/C Venture ?  What caliber ?  Their advertising says it will shoot an inch at 100yds. Has yours done that ?  They look nice and if you are a lefty they make that, too.  They use a 5 groove barrel that places a land opposite a groove. Also, the rifling lands are cut at 65 deg rather than 90deg.  The claim is that it cant foul in the corner between land and groove.  rp

I got a TC venture in 270.  I wrote a short range report over in the medium caliber section.  Since then, I've had 3 separate 100 yard targets that went about 0.5", 0.8" and 0.6", all with the same handload mentioned.
Overall, I'm real impressed.  I only checked the trigger pull and it was about 3 lbs, so I left it.  I have a nikon monarch 3-12x42 mounted on it.

I recently picked up a Venture in .243 win.  I was shooting
sub moa groups with the first box of cheap Federal power shok ammo.
Trigger pull was 3.5 lbs right out of the box. Excellent! ;D
