Delmont Sports shop
« on: September 10, 2010, 02:35:20 AM »
Today just for laughs I stopped into the Delmont Sport shop. Recently I sold a gun on-line, to purchase another.
I called Bee’s in Saltsburg, and explained what I was doing; He quoted me a price of $439.00 for a new Ruger Black Hawk, and a price of 20 to 30 Dollars to ship my gun too Washington State. Back to the Delmont Store, his prices, New Ruger Black Hawk $495.00 and $60.00 to ship the handgun. The best part for last, while waiting for the price on the new Ruger, he has a Used Black hawk in the showcase with banged up bluing for $450.00. How dose this guy stay in business. He wants more for a used beat up gun than what a new one cost At Bee’s.

I hear ya Hornady. I don't know how he stays in business either. Its got to be just a hobby for him and I suppose some do buy from him. His used guns are outrageously priced, and he normally won't budge on them. In the past I have tried to trade with him, but he doesn't even come close to offering a fair price for your gun. I remember once wanting to trade a handgun and buy a new one. With the price he offered me for mine, I just thought to myself "you got to be kidding", and walked out.

What caliber are you thinking of in the blackhawk? I want a .41 mag in the blackhawk with the 6.5 inch barrel. I do have a .41 Redhawk, and I like it a lot. Its a great shooter, but always wanted a .41 single action.
