96 Mauser Cock on Opening Kit

I have just completed my first build on a 96 Mauser; everything went well and I am pleased with the rifle but I am wondering about installing a cock on opening kit; I have built a bunch rifles on (8 actions and the cock on closing of the 96 just feel right.  Over the years I have read mixed reviews of this kits.

What is you guys experience?  Any words of wisdom?

Don, not to be funny but I think you just got the reply on your post. I have 6 swedes and a couple 91 and 95 mausers. been shooting them for some years and have grown accustomed to the cock on closing typical of these actions. Now don't get me wrong as I have a couple 98's that cock on opening. And while its a little easier don't think its worth the trouble and expense to modify the pre 98's to cock on opening. Hope this makes sense. Frank
