Yes, this is a French Mdl 1902/15 or Fusil 1902/15; made by Remington who may also have first made the 1891 Mosin style in 7.62x54R (there are some similarities between the two rifles).  The French rifle uses a 3 round clip and is in 8mm caliber which may be the .318 bore of the earlier 8mm rifles.  I believe ammunition is still available for the 318 bore 8mms but I would have a competent gunsmith check it out if you intend to shoot it.  HTH.

Mikey is spot on again.

St. Etienne  Berthier  1907-15  in 8mm lebel or 8mmx50mm "R" rimmed

Go to wikipedia or search for "1907-15 bethier"  and lots of info and pics comes up on the search.

I had one but sold it.  But i do have a rack of the 8mmx50mm R ammo for the machine gun left.  If anyone is interested in it let me know.
