Replacement stock for model 11 FXP3
« on: August 31, 2010, 09:48:08 AM »
Hi guys,
I have a Model 11 with the 4.430 space between the front action screw hole and the screw hole in front of the trigger. Boyds does not currently make that stock.

Is it worth replacing the cheap flimsy stock on the rifle
Any ideas who might carry a decent stock

Thanks ,    Pat

Well I talked to James at Boyds and he said they may have some in walnut sometime in October.

Also I called Savage customer service413-568-7001 and after 10 min wait the lady said they have them available in maple stained beech (probably birch ) for 126.00 ( ouch ) but just drop in and make sure you order the wood stock screws while your at it. I'm going to look around for a while.

Depends on how you'll use the rifle if it's worth replacing the stock or not.If you're shooting competition or putting a bi-pod on it you may benefit from a stiffer stock.
