I agree with Andy, the 280 is one of the best out there. Like the 06 or 270, with the right bullet, it will take anything in the lower 48. If it's "crunch time" and I still have unfilled tags, I grab a 280 to "getter done". Sounds like you been infected with the 7mm bug too Richard. Now, if you ever need to get rid of that 7X57, you let yer ol' buddy DP know
, that's the one that got me started on the 7mm's and at this time, I ain't got one in the house.
