I hope this is in the correct section, or the moderator can move it to the rimfire section. I had a Versa Pack combo for a while, recently I got lucky and picked up another set locally. My question is that I noticed a few differences.
My older set came with a blue NEF/H&R case & a straight pallet wood stock set, the newer set came with a synthetic youth stock and an extra straight pallet wood stock set. But the .22 Versa pack barrels sport different sights, and most importantly, the receiver in the older set has rounded corners where the receiver would attach to the stock, and the newer set looks like a basic SB1 receiver. Anyone else notice these differences in their Versa Packs, or do I have a Versa Pack (older set) and a combo .22LR/.410 gun (newer set)? Both sets have the numbers etched on the barrels and they were originally purchased new. The newer set doesn't have Versa Pack marked on the box, the receiver has a view/inspection port on the receiver. I don't have the box for the older set.
Any thoughts on this, especially on the physical differences of the frames (rounded corners).
Correction made regarding extra wood stock set, it was not part of the Versa Pack, but purchased separately.
