Well I drove up to my deer hunting woods, and the first thing found an imature whitetail buck, and a doe as both were not shooters for me. So I continued on and a larger doe just looked at me, but I didn't want to take her yet. She didn't seem to care or spook at the truck, so I continued on to where I park at the back side of the property.

I did find that there are plenty of does, but just did not want to take one today as this was the first day of getting out and I only covered about 1/4 of the area that I hunt.
Here is a couple of does that were bedded down, that did not see me. They finally got up and just walked away. They were not alerted to my presents, and did not flag heading away. The closest one there when she got up, squatted in her bed which means she will be back. The area is full of whitetail, so I figured why rush it today. I can get 2 more B tags for does, so I was pretty much looking for the right size buck today.
I did encounter what I call the alarm of the woods, as these squirrels will bark and chatter alerting everything that danger is around. So, just like our FSF or Shot of the Week, aiming small and hitting small I did from about 10 yards away.
This little guy made for a small target, bouncing up and down on a branch. All in all, it was a great hunt this morning, and after I got my blind set up for another day.
