35 Remington Pump or auto
« on: April 29, 2004, 04:47:24 AM »
I'm trying to design a rotating bolt carbine in 35 Remington that can be built with some of the more common tools (lathe and basic mill) and wondered if that was something people would be interestred in.  My current design has a relatively long action but very simple internals.

Auto would take care of the issue of building a pump system, and cycling discomfort due to the long action, but pump would take care of pressure sensitivity.  Either one would be box magazine fed.

BattleRifleG3, are you designing off of an existing model or designing from paper?
I would imagine that a semi-auto would be welcome, but then again, a nice compact pump could also go over.
Lots of work, keep us posted, okay?
