Can anyone give me any info on a 45-70 revolver

I jsy bought a single action revolver chambered for the 45-70. It is marked "Firearms specialties" Fulton MICH. I remember when these came out, there was a picture of Elmer Keith holding one, with a hughe grin. It is big, a six shot and heavy. This one needed a good cleaning but functions properly. ive got a buddy who was left one by his father. I looked it over and it didnt appear to be all that well fitted. Real sloppy for the power level it is suppose to operate at. He doesnt care much as he has no intention of shooting it.

I shot the one I have, and would not say it is fitted poorly. It is a lot of fun to shoot. When you look at someone holding it, it looks like a cartoon where the gun was drawn too big. Mine is serial number 41, I wonder how many were made. I see that they were bought by another company, called Buffalo something and sell for over $1,000. I still have not been able to find another one like mine for sale. Shotgunner

Didn't these have a brass or bronze frame? They got a lot of ink in the gun mags in the late '70s.

Yes, they are brass or bronze. This one does not look like it was shot very much. I remember reading about them in Guns & Ammo in the 70s, and I have found a second company that made them, but do not have much info on this one. Shotgunner
