Brushy run 9/11
« on: August 31, 2010, 04:22:33 AM »
Anyone here going to the 9/11 TEA party, I know there are plenty that think it’s a waste of time, but I have been to every one of the SWPA tea parties, it’s a nice day out and you meet some great people at the same time. Friends of the NRA and F.O.A.C. both set up booths.
Anyone that has not been to one, it’s a gun friendly event, so don’t be surprised by the number of people open carrying. Good chance just to BS with guys about the firearms they brought, Most that are carrying have handguns, but I have talked to guys that brought some classic Rifles.
It’s a good example of how once people see open carry, and realize they are in no greater danger of an exposed firearm, than one concealed they are not as shocked by seeing it.
I also think an event like the TEA party, People that are indifferent about guns, once they meet a few gun owners, realize we are not the whack jobs the TV and media make use out to be, just a bunch of  normal every day guys that just happen to love the 2nd amendment and all that it stands for.

My two sons are going tomorrow, unfortunately I won't be able to make it.  :(  Maybe next time.
