They rent reamers and guages of most calibers...  There are other such firms..  Just curious but what are you chambering...?

I thought they were rimfires..  Converting to centerfire also?  Keep us informed with the progress of your project..

.32 S&W project

Well the project is on. 4D tools is willing to have a reamer made so they can rent it to me, and the 'smith is going to let me use his lathe and milling machine on my time during business hours.
plans involve plugging the nipple holes and drilling a pilot hole, then enlarging the bore to .330" or so. Then we'll be milling some material off the back of the cylinder, and fabricating a recoil shield with an integral firing pin. The recoil shield will be dove-tailed into the frame and retained by a small screw in the left side of the old recoil shield.
Hopefully I'll have pictures as things progress
