When common thugs with billy clubs stood in front of a polling place on election day, intimidating voters..they thought they had a free pass with the justice dept. Obviously they did, with the atty general and the asst atty general..but some attorneys still have ethics and still respect the Constitution and it's quaint rules, such as the "equal protection" clause.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2594461/posts On Friday, Chris Coates, an attorney for the civil rights commission will testify, explaining how he was ordered by the atty general to drop the civil rights violation case they had prepared..which was a solid 'slam dunk' against the New Black Panthers hoodlums. He was not only told to "drop the case", but was ordered not to testify to the truth. Sorry Mr atty general, but SOME folks still have a conscience...he will testify !
Since the testimony isn't until tomorrow, I sincerely hope Mr coates has retained personal security personell. Bad things could happen to him...afgter all, it's the Chicago mobster way...
