back up ring on older 58 cal huntsman

ordered parts for my 58, one of the parts is a backup ring, the exploded view dose not  show the location, where does it go, also the breech plug arrived(push in type) what thread size nipple is required rick

My 58 Hunstman with a push in breechplug, uses the standard 1/4X28 tpi nipple for #11 percussion caps.  By the "back up ring" are you referring to the breechplug's neoprene O-ring?

thanks for info, on the nipple no it appears to be a Teflon washer, not sure if it goes behind o-ring on the breech plug or where it goes
