Thanks guys. The taxidermist is a lady named Carmen? at RC Taxidermy in Del Rio Texas. I forget her last name. She has a pretty packed studio with a wide variety of critters. She was restoring a Cape Buffalo skull/horns that has been in someones famiily for many years, shot by grandpa someone. She is restoring it and making it into a coffee table. The price she charged me for the shoulder mount on that Axis was $450.00. I like the mount, shows more of the hide on one side than a traditional mount.
I go bow hunt the ranch in just a few short weeks. I think I will be shooting a few arrows/bolts at feral hogs from what I saw 2 weeks ago. They are tasty but very destructive out there in that rocky shallow soil..
