Simmons Presidential Scopes?
« on: October 02, 2010, 05:01:36 AM »
looking for information on an old Simmon's Presidential scope that I acquired recently. I have heard they were high quality and not produced for very many years. It is a 4x44, appears to be a quality product, better than any Simmons I have seen before. has an a/o with sunshade and yellow and gray glass filters. Supposedly sold in the $400 range new.

anyone have any info/experience with these?

Google  Simmons Presidential scope and you'll find some comments/info about it.

From what I gather, Simmons tried to get into the high end scope business back in 80s with the Presidential series and offered them for 2-3 years.  Scopes made in Japan by company also making scopes for Baush &Lomb and Bushnell.   Retailed priced from $200 to $400 depending on model.
