I don't want to rejoice in any persons death, but I guess the silver lining is that there's one less Segway in the world now . . . :)

From the article: safe when people respect its limitations. Hmmm. Were there warning stickers in place about cliffs and rivers??? This could generate a lawsuit.

I've ridden Segways extensively and am really impressed with them. It's a very clever machine that works amazingly well.  There are bound to be occasional accidents, as with anything.

Problems arise, however, when activities like the one shown in the link are performed:

A friend here in town has one.  He offered me a chance to ride it.  I took one look at it and said,   "NO".  Sky did ride it and thought it was awsome.  Then again Sky takes after his Mama, enough said.

But then again Sky wants one of these.  http://hitsusa.com/blog/66/one-wheel-motorcycle/

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

Who is he going to sue? Himself, he owns the company.  ;D
Well that and he's dead.

Besides, since we didn't know the man we can't be sure if there are any lawyers where he went or not.   ;D

Since when has common sense gotten in the way of a good lawsuit?  Doesn't have to make sense - somebody can always sue somebody :).
