Help With Snow Sets
« on: December 10, 2003, 06:07:15 AM »
OK, we got dumped on with 6-8 inches of snow. Anybody got any helpful hints as to how to set for fox/yotes in the snow? Thanks!

If a tree falls in the woods and my wife is not there to hear it...is it still my fault?

Other that the usuals I use the manure set with success: get some turkey, chicken, horse, cattle, etc. manure. I use turkey manure from turkey barns as its dry as powder and has feathers in it as a added attraction. Just make a mound with the manure and bury the trap on the edge of the mound covered with sifted manure. bait and lure the area behind the trap. The mound of manure standing out in the snow covered field is attractive to the canines, and when they get to it they'll work it out of curiosity.
