Super Safari .451
« on: September 03, 2010, 02:02:02 PM »
Big brown truck dropped it off today. It needed a little cleaning up but most importantly the bore looks good. Since they guaranteed the bore to be pristine I really looked hard but just couldn't find anything wrong with it. I hadn't realized you have to take off the thimbles to get the stock off the super safaris. The scope is super clear but got fried a little on the bottom. I am hoping to take a few shots with it tomorrow morning.

Nice looking smoke pole, really sharp looking. TC make a cover to go around the scope to protect it from the cap. I suppose other companys make them as well.

Thanks moto. I sold one of my favorite rifles to buy this one but I have no regrets. I shot it yesterday morning and had a great time. I used 70 grains of goex 3f and some 420 grain conicals. I have been advised by those in the know that I ought to get some heavier conicals. That scope is also the nicest one I have ever used it is so clear.
