leverloution ammo in 3030 14"
« on: September 27, 2010, 12:42:43 PM »
Who has used this in hunting and how has it performed in a 14" barrel? I am deciding to
either get custom ammo made or using the leverloution this year and need some insight
as to effectiveness on deer and hogs.

Haven't tried it on game yet but I shot Leverlution 200 grain in my 14" .35 Rem couple weeks ago.  Shot a 0.528" 3 shot 100 yard group with it on the 1st try.  Have not been able to do that yet with my own loads.  I'm impressed with it on paper.

One of my hunting buddies uses a 10" 30/30 T/C barrel, and he started using the Leverevolution ammo last year. It has worked very well on deer, hogs, and turkey. With groups just over 0.5" @ 100 yds, he has decided to buy the Hornady ammo instead of reload for the barrel. The 3 deer, 12 hogs, and 2 turkeys only needed one shot with the FTX bullets.
