High Plains Gunstocks

I've used them and will be doing so sometime in the near future again. The fit and finish were perfect, and the turnaround was less than one month.

In the photo with the raccoon, the rifle wears both buttstock and forend by High Plains. I was happy with the forend, but after-the-fact, I decided I wanted another from David D., who posts here and does a terrific job with his woodworking magic. The other photos feature the HIgh Plains buttstock and a forend from David D. It's a match match in heaven as it fits me perfectly.

I have a set for a g2 pistol that I ordered, was told 3 weeks ,was 5 ordered a forend for a 10 inch one screw got a 2 screw for a 14 inch did not want to wait 5 more weeks for replacement so I had to use with only one screw color is green and black very nice finish and fit, I finally put them up for sale on the contender forum but have not sold they do look great on the g2 he sells on ebay all the time but the fellow on gray beard can make you a good set.

Sorry for bringing up a dead thread.  But I've been doing some looking into custom stocks for the Encore and High Plains is about the only place I've found.  Does anyone else know if there are other stock makers for the Encore?  

I'll probably end up going with High Plains, but I wanted to check out any other stock makers before I made my decision.  Thanks fellas, and again, sorry for resurrecting the dead here.

i am also looking for a stock and foreend  for a ML.   you could look at Stocky's  and ebbrown as well

Yeah, I found Stocky's and they're significantly cheaper.  $145 or something for both the buttstock and forend.  Compared to some of the other stock makers I've seen, that's either a REALLY good deal or there is some reason that they're that inexpensive.  I'm a little nervous to pull the trigger on the Stocky's deal.  The E Arther Brown stock looks almost identical and it's a little more than the Stocky's.  I'm not sure what I'm going to do about this.

There is also a Boyds gun stock company, I have had one of their encore stocks and was a nice finish and fit.

It's my understanding that Boyd's no longer makes stocks for the Encore.  At least that was what they told me when I called and asked a couple days ago.

Tony's Forends is making stocks now. I'm a big fan of his forends but I haven't tried his stocks yet. I don't own any of his stuff but Dave Dolin does great work too (Not sure if he makes stocks though and don't know his handle here). Bullberry makes some very nice stocks too. Nice high combs like the High Plains.

Gunstocks Inc. is a sponsor here. I bought and finished a stock and forend for a Contender from them. Not sure about the Encore. Quality stuff and good people too.

according to http://www.gunstocksinc.com/web_pages/Thompson-Center-Stocks.htm they are unavailable at this time do to a huge back log on orders. Just a heads up.
