Kennedy was a Democrat! He might have trouble saying those things at a reelect obama rally today!  Cutting taxes isn't the democrat mantra these days. Seems Keynesian economics,(tax and spend) is the way they roll now!

I wonder if statements like that had anything to do with "Dallas." Its ironic that lbj quickly went 180 degrees from this concept. 
The elite cant get the moneys they are promised when the taxes are reduced. Our taxes belong to them.

When Jack Kennedy was alive the dems were nothing like they are now, they were actually a part of America, not the queer loving, baby killing, hate America, hate military, wimpy crowd of today. That party left me many years ago. POWDERMAN.

Dumocrats have always been tax and spenders, but at one time they at least still had a few scruples and some statesmen.  Todays Dumocrats are more often pure socialists and some are unapologetic communists.  I didn't like John Kennedy, because he was an elitist who had little to no regard for the people who weren't of his "class." 

As a general rule, the military hated Kennedy's guts--at least the enlisted troops didn't think much of him after he shot down an attempt to raise their pay and instead gave a more substantial raise to officers.

More to the point, lowering taxes has always stimulated business and economies and brought more revenue to governments, but there is the law of diminishing returns.  At some point, there still has to be some taxation for government services.  Finding the sweet spot where people don't feel overburdened and where necessary services are funded is the test.  The budget process is supposed to be the mechanism by which governments at least look at physcal sanity.  The Dumocrats have decided to delete that process.

One of the few times I have listened to Mike Savage ,he was sayin that "todays republicans are yesterdays democrats". I thought that a pretty accurate statement then and still do now. I call them the new bolsheviks.

TM, you seemed to have missed my point and the ultimate point and that is that tax cuts are not the problem.  Spending is the problem.  It should be obvious to everyone that no matter what level of taxation we are presented, there isn't enough money, or wealth on this earth to satisfy the present spending binge of the Domocrat Congress and the lame Spender-in-Chief.

No TM, the bulk of government spending is social entitlements.  And no I don't advocate cutting that to the bone nor do I believe that all military spending is justified.  Choices have to be made and the longer we go without a responsible Congress, the worse the choices get. 

I guess it would be too much to expect a Congress of any flavor to do their sworn duty.

Ya know when I posted this originally, it was to show how the Democrats have changed over the years, A lot of folk around here say "my daddy was a Democrat and I'll be one until I die" Well they (Democrat party) have changed, pardners. Maybe its why JFK was Shot. I dunno. One thing for sure he wouldn't have been up on the podium trying to redistribute the wealth, ya think?

If you are Gay, Black, illegal, or socialist they are the party for you. At least thats what they "want" you to believe.  The ruling class really want us all to hate each other so they can use that to stay in power and the Democrats dont have a monopoly on that FOR Sure!
