I remember my early experence with 1970's era 3 wheel ATV's wernt so great.
My up north relative Uncle Woody had a Sperry Tri-cart kinda like the picture he won it as a door prize at a impliment dealer (Sperry NewHolland), it was fast, flipped over backwards easy and the breaks (what breaks?), My first and last time useing the green monster was round 1975 helping relatives round up some cattle (no horses that day), nothing like sitting out in front of a green fiberglass runaway ATV that day, the throttle cable broke and jambed 3/4 open some deep cattle paths on a side hill kinda slowed it down some before ole Rexy rode it in the watering hole.
Later on around 1980 I was doing the same sort of work (rounding up cattle)for the southern relatives that live down in Nebraska's armpit, Uncle Rob thougt it would be fun to race back to the house for Lunch he on his motor bike and me on a Honda 110 3 wheeler, I took a shortcut through the Alaphapha meddow which was close to being due for a second cutting, seems Uncle Rob forgot to tell Ole Rex about that 20' section of 6" gated irrigation pipe he'd left laying out there in the field, out of that 15 acres of meddow I naild that pipe dead center, did a flip over handlebars onto my back (I still beat him back to the house) he was too busey looking& laughing at me to make the curve and run off the irrigation canal road with his Enduro, Now that was funny.
