I thought it would be interesting to see which muzzleloader you would vote for, if for some reason,.... you were only limited to only "one type", a "traditonal muzzleloader",.. or,.. an "inline muzzleloader".
"Modern inline" is an old mountain-man phrase,... fer "butt-ugly club"!!

Dang You Rollingb!!!!

Was this a trick question so shooters like me would vote traditional? You didn't stipulate (only 1) in your header poll, but you did in your introductory thread.

Ya' know darn well there ain't no inline manufacturers that offer a few different twists for their individual models.

Since there ain't, give me a T/C Hawkens in 1-48" so I can buy optional barrels like 1-32" and 1-70" twists.

One of the purposes of this "poll",.... is to see if the "traditional rifles" are as unpopular to the "majority" of muzzleloader-shooters,... as some folks sell'n "high-thecnology" wish us to believe!!

I Think by looking at the results(so far) we should be wondering how the in-lines are holding up to the "real"  Guns. Couldn't help myself......sorry in-liners. :-D

Is your poll set up so only one vote can be cast per person/PC ?  Some of these online polls allow multible votes.  Just curious.

Of course the in-line folks may look at this poll, yawn and go on to the next post, in which case the results are skewed.

Kees,.... I'm proud of my rifle, and not embarrassed to say so in a poll started by someone of the "other persuasion"!!

Besides, as I mentioned earlier,.... I think this poll is a chance for the inliners to show thet sales of ther favorite type of rifle dominates the current market for muzzleloaders (as has ben claimed by some)!! :D

The way our polls work is each registered member is allowed ONE VOTE and only one vote. Once you've voted you'll no longer be able to see the vote screen but rather will get the results screen. The only way a person could vote more than once would be if they were registered under more than one name.

RollingB,

I thought that YOU started this poll!

I voted, but how many of the in-line folks did, is all I'm saying.

Kees,.... Sorry 'bout the confusion in my last post. My intent was to say, thet I'd vote for my favorite rifle "EVEN" if the poll was started by someone of the "other persuasion".

Are you "hint'n" thet, (some) inline shooters might not vote in a poll started by me?  :(

As I mentioned earlyer,.... this poll is the inline-lover's "BIG CHANCE" to prove to everyone, the "dominance" of inlines in today's market,.... as some have claimed!

I suspect anyone not vote'n, would (more likely) be "traditional" folks, after seen'n the results of this poll thus far..... and are accept'n such results as a "no brainer"! :)

Now!!!!,.... after thet "pep-talk",... the inline numbers for this poll should skyrocket!! :-D  (or,..... just maybe,.... such "claims" are pure "HYPE/PROPAGANDA"!!)  :agree:

Here's anuther "incentive" for the inline folks (who may not be vote'n in a poll started by me),..... if the numbers of this poll, ever prove thet inlines are "dominant" in the muzzleloader-world,..... I will leave this site, and transfer to a "traditional-muzzleloaders ONLY" site elsewher!! :toast: (How's thet for,.... "lay'n it on the line",....???? )

rollingb,
Don't leave if thats how it turns out! (I doubt it will anyway). It seems the stores are selling alot more inlines, but don't forget, the traditional guns have at least a  200 year head start in sales, it's not likely the inlines will catch up. Also did you ever hear of anyone building his own inline? Lot's of traditional guns that won't show up in any sales survey. Yes inlines are todays dominant sellers, but I don't believe they will EVER be the dominant muzzleloader based on sheer numbers.
Just my :money:
PS I voted traditional

Ramrod,.... Thanks!!.. but it doesn't look as tho I'll have to leave this site of "good folks"!!

One thing this "poll" doesn't reflect, is the tremendous "volume of sale" in regards to,....
1. "custom" traditional-rifles,
2. "parts" puchased by folks build'n ther own rifles,
3.  traditional-rifles purchased "in the white",
4.  and ALSO, "traditional PISTOLS" ("custom", "parts" sold, and "in the white").

With the continual growth of "reenactment" groups, such as the,.. eastern long-hunters, mountain men, and Civil War folks,..... I'm still convinced "traditional muzzleloader" sales are the majority in the USA!!

Thanks for "vote'n"!! :toast:
