Ole Boudreaux an church
« on: September 23, 2010, 01:24:48 PM »
Ole Boudreaux lives down here in South la., right down the bayou from me a ways. (only 3 ways to go where i live. Down the bayou, up the bayou and across the bayou). Anyhow, A few weeks ago Boudreaux suddenly quit drinking, started bathing regularly (what a relief, he fishes oysters), quit chasing women, quit playin poker all da time and other stuff. He started cuttin the grass at the church, painted it and became faithful about bein the first person to church on Sundays!
Father Thibodeaux an I cornered him last Sunday after services an the good father asked him "Boudreaux, whats wit dis wonderful change you done made fo yaself, podna? What on earth done overtook ya?"
Boudreaux looks over at the Father real serious an says " i done heard on dat CNN that "Crisis in Da Gulf" and i wanna make sure Im good to go iffin he dat close!"
Sometimes, Its better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool then open it and remove all doubt.
