Mossberg 930 SPX 20ga? Any word if they will produce?
I really would love to have one.
Any substitutes?

The 930 does not come in 20 gauge.  You may want to look at the Mossy International SA-20 and seeing if you can have the barrel cut down to about 20 inches and rethreaded for choke.  Otherwise just use it for a  20 gauge alley duster.

Interesting scatter gun.  SA-20 Bantam. 24" barrel.
It would be nice if it came in an SPX version. (legalities of custom defense firearms).
SA-20 Bantam with swappable barrels and tubes.(perhaps swap out the butt for an adjustable, but really no need to on the bantam.)
26" choked barrel and short tube for waterfowl.
and 18 3/4" barrel and full length tube for 7+1 or 8+1 home defense.
I'd easily pay $600 for something like that.

The SA-20 only comes with the one field barrel.  the ideal HD shotgun is an open choke (cylinder or IC) for max dispersal.   If you are looking for a semi auto to make a combo, get the mossberg 930 12 gauge deer and waterfowl combo with extra security barrel.   if you look around you can get everything for around $600.00.
