Good shooter, upgraded mine a bit. New Hammer and beaver tail. New trigger and smooth mainspring housing. Over all good gun for the money. I think I paid $560 new.

I like to tinker, and figured this would be a good project gun. Put about a 1000 rds through it so far. A handful of FTF and FTE, but these seem to have pretty much worked themselves out.

It does dent the brass on ejection at the case mouth, and you will get one in the face once in awhile. Not a big problem for me and doesn't damage the brass where it can't be reloaded again.

I really like it...................Have seen several used ones popping up for sale. Mostly the full size GI's.

I've had mine for a week. I am the third owner, as far as I know.

The pistol shot fine, but I have refined it a bit to my tastes, as I would normally do with any 1911.

I replaced the rear sight with an MMC variation that works fine with the factory sight, replaced the mainspring housing with a steel checkered one w/o the lock, and replaced the trigger with a long solid trigger from Cylinder and Slide ( I have large hands).

Sounds like good upgrades Bob. I upgraded mine with a Wilson hammer, beaver tail, and slide stop. Also a Ed Brown trigger and flat mainspring housing.

Gives it just a little more taste.  8)
