I have a Para and would not buy another.  The metal in the slide at least is soft.  The slide stop notch on mine is substantially peened after 500 or so rounds and I'm not sure how much longer it will keep the slide locked open.  Also the plunger tube mounted to the frame that contains the spring and detents for the safety and slide stop was made wrong.  The detent on the slide stop side did not protrude far enough to keep the stop lever in place while firing so the gun would lock open every other shot or so with a full magazine.  I have fixed that problem and it runs well now but if the slide stop notch ever wears out completely, I will likely just buy a Caspian slide to replace it with.  The worst thing about Para that I have only read but not experienced first hand is that if you have trouble with a gun, they often don't get it fixed on the first attempt and since the service department is in Canada, shipping is WAAAAY too expensive.

I've have 3 Paras and for many years have been very pleased. I don't have the model you asked about but I am a big fan of the company and their products.

I have had a few Para's and currently have a coulple.  I have 45 LDA' in both small frame and high cap models, a 45 Hawg and currently a 9mm Hawg and a P16, 40,  with a custom trigger, mag well and grip safety and ambi thumb saftey.  All worked flawlessly.  One thing to note however is that they come with fairly heavy springs and do not like light loads with lead bullets.  They are combat ready pistols that operate best with full power loads.  They are being used in high level match's as well.  The fit and finish on all my guns has been flawless and they are now located in the US which helps if you need service.
I can't say any thing negative about them as they have been great pistols for me.  In fact, I wish I still had the 45 Hawg.  I was really stupid to let that go.  For a little 45, it was VERY ACCURATE and comfortable to shoot as well.  I sold it to a neighbor who loves it as well and reminds me every time I see him how much he loves it.
