New style H&R stocks by Choate look interesting - Mark 6
« on: October 08, 2010, 12:08:54 PM »
Was surfing thru Gunbroker today and ran across Auction #194580363 auctioning a stock
made for H&R's that I had not seen before in their listings and still don't. Looks interesting
because it has a nice recoil pad unlike the Survivor & Tamer and a nicer extra shell holder &
looks like it would be great as a hunting/home defense &/or truck gun stock. I think I might
get one to try on my shortie ;D Price is listed as 79 + shp. Called Mark 6. Noticed also while
checking their catalog(didn't find) but see that they also offer a Synthetic MC checkered new
style stock for 37 as well as checkered forend for 21 + shp.  Fred

Looks just like the Choate Varmint stock with a built in shell holder.

Actually, the choat is quite a bit different.  Similar overall shape though as you stated.  I went and checked and figured I'd post a link for comparison purposes.  ;)  I like the built in shell holder and it appears to have a thumbscrew to change out what size shells it'll hold or something.  Kinda cool, otherwise, you'd have to make a different model for many calibers.  8)
