Some nut shoot a number of people today, in ariz. 6 dead and others shoot.

People must learn to be prudent and expect that things like this can and will happen and if you attend anything from a school board meeting to what have you, you'd better be ready to duck and cover.  Better yet, you need to be packing, so that maybe you can take out the nut before he takes you out.

In my working career I was a member of a labor union and I knew that there were a few loose nuts among us.  I often took a little friend with me to union meetings.

I am very suprised that know one shot back, I know that they were mainly Dems, but they are in Ariz.

 Once again the bad guy was armed and the good guys were not. Police dont carry guns because it is part of the uniform, they carry them because the world can be dangerous for them and us.
 
The world is becoming a very dangerous place, and it seems it is just as much (if not more) dangerous in areas that have strong gun laws (so i dont think this is the answer)(other countries tried, didnt work). We must protect ourselves.

 If one person had been armed and shot back, if gun man was not hit, it may have convinced him to turn tail and run, or it would have at least made him focus more on armed person in the bunch and shoot it out with him giving the innocent a chance to flee. Yes some people may get hit in the cross fire, but he shot, i believe it was 11 people?? unchallenged. Yes he was brought down by bystanders but after the 11 wounded, I believe he ran out of rounds and was reloading, or was out of rounds completely.
