Yesterday, I loaded my CVA Wolf to check my scope and to practice a bit. The first shot with some BH 209 that was left in a speedloader from last season, and a CCI 209 primer, just went "phhhht" and the bullet landed about 10 feet from my bench.
I picked up the bullet and cleaned out the bore and breech plug, then reloaded with powder from a sealed container of BH 209. It shot right where I was aiming. The only thing I can figure is that the powder lost its punch while stored in the poorly sealed speedloader. Needless to say, I won't make that mistake again.
BTW, I discarded the powder in the 2 other speedloaders.
