357 question

hi
will a 357 mag barrell fit a regular 12 gauge sb1 frame????
or does it have to have to have a smaller diameter firing pin receiver?

yeah i am dense.
i have a 12 gauge reg frame i was going to sell,but now i will keep it till a barrell comes along.

I just bought a new 357 Mag rifle (Illion, NY manufacture) and it is an SB1 Cast iron frame.  Some folks put their 357 barrels on SB2 (CF rifle) frames when they upgrade to 357 Max, because they want to MAX load them. ;)

Now that I posted the above I can try and actually answer your question.  Yes, the 357 Mag barrel will work on a 12 gauge frame, if it is NOT a 12 ga. USH Frame, assuming you can get it to lock up properly.

it is not a ush frame,just plain shotgun.
i knew i could get my answer from this great crowd, i think i am catching that handi disease they were talking about.
