H&R action and stock problems
« on: October 09, 2010, 01:04:55 PM »
I just bought a new H&R in .223 and the action does't latch some of the time when closed even if some force is applied. It also has to be snapped open for the ejector to work. The rear stock is also loose. Any help on these problems would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome! Start reading the Handi Basics 101 sticky and spend some time in the FAQs, sounds like it needs a good cleaning first, stock bolt info can be found in the FAQs also, use ctrl f to search the page as directed at the top of the FAQs sticky.   ;) FYI, new H&Rs don't have ejectors, only extractors if it was made in the last few years.
