.50 Ruger Old Army.Anyone have one?

I like this conversion but would like to hear what owners of it have to say.That is if anyone has one.What results with other powders besides triple7 and/or different bullets.

That is the answer for those seeking maximum power from a cap & ball revolver, but I really can't see the point. It's a very expensive conversion and since the "Old Army" is not a traditional revolver to start with and becomes even less traditional after conversion one may just as well pack a .44 mag. If you prefer shooting blackpowder the .45 Colt does very well with blackpowder handloads, probably the .44 mag as well. Either way, the guns are much lighter, handier, far more reliable and far less expensive.
