Saltwood question
«

What guns and what year or years did saltwood become a problem, I recently saw a Browning Safari that mentioned no saltwood. I take that there was a problem with rusting if a gun was sent out with a stock made of this wood? Thanks.

The history of "saltwood" was that early on they were South American wood that were salt cured.
There are a couple of forums that can give more details.
