I am unfamiliar with those type studs but suspect they are simply screwed into the stock using a wood screw threaded section. I would remove them and simply install screw in studs. I assume a standard swivel stud will work properly in your application.. Stock material as well as firearm type can have a bearing.. I prefer the Mckenzie (sp) style which uses an inletted hole liner and provides a ball bearing swiveling mechanism as well as easy removal and a completely flat surface to the stock when removed.. Also, unlike the 'T' bar style twist lock types they won't release unless released!!.
