I have some Noble relatives from around brethit county ( Jackson ).
My Grandfathers uncle was named shirley Best Noble.
My great aunt was also married to a Noble. His 1st name was cirus I believe. The only name I ever heard was uncle Ci or Si. dont know how he spelled it.
My great grand father Willaim R Smith ran the Depot in Torrent Ky in the early 1900's. The town is no longer there. It is about 2 miles from the Natural bridge and you would never know there was a rather large town there at one time.. He also ran a store in Stanton Ky in the 1920's which I still have some ledgers for what he sold and the name of the person who bought it, What they paid and what they owed. Kind of interesting to see people paying with chickens, wood , eggs, cows.. you name it :lol:
